Welcome back crafty friends!
We're half way through November and winter is upon us. It officially begins on December 21st but as the holidays draw close, I know they will fly by and the winter time blues will be here until March.
Our challenge theme at the Double D for the next two weeks "Winter Blues". Show us your interpretation of this theme and use the fabulous mood board posted below to help inspire you.
The Design Team will be choosing a Top Creative Winner and 3 Top Winners to receive a badge for their blogs. There is also a prize to one winner chosen by random draw from the linked entries.
A spectacular mood board to inspire you...
Everything about this mood board inspired me!
I love the soft colors and texture present in all of the photos. Fortunately, I have an embossing folder that mimics the cable stitch and used it as the background on a kraft and white base. I layered some shiplap boards to mat the wreath. The branches, wreath and berries are coated with clear glitter. I found some chipboard words in my stash and inked them a coordinating shade of blue. Two 3-D Blue Jays and some scattered sequins complete the embellishing. I used pearl mist for shimmer.
