My Heart Bee-longs To You!

 Welcome back fellow bloggers!

Wow, May just buzzed by, June is here and time for another Double D Challenge.

Here's the buzz...."BEE Inspired"
We want to see bees and/or anything that inspires you on the mood board....colors of yellow and black, honeycomb and hexagons, textures and quotes.  Whatever gets your mojo going.

You could be one of our creative choices or the winner by random draw of the stamp set below.

Sunny Studio Just Bee-cause

The mood board...

I made two cards....one inspired by design and the other inspired by the colors.

my heart bee-longs to you!

First up is this black/gold card featuring lots of the hexagon and honeycomb designs.  The patterned papers are matted with the same gold foil used for the honeycomb die and sentiment matting.  I love this paper collection!  It's a special edition, "Tell the Bees" from Craft Consortium.  Not easy to find, but I'm glad I finally did locate it.  This was the perfect opportunity to use it.

Just bee...cause

Next up is this A2 card with a diagonal washi tape background design matted in black.  I've had this tape for quite a while and have only used the black/gold hexagon.  I love the bold contrast between the bright yellow, white and black.  The sentiment background is stenciled with distress ink, die cut and matted.  I embellished with a 3-D bee sticker.

From my stash...
American Crafts, Bazzill Cardstock
Craft Consortium "Tell the Bees" Collection
Jolee's 3-D Bee Sticker
Memory Box, Spellbinders, Tutti Designs Die Cuts
Pam Bray Honeycomb Stencil
Paper Studios Washi Tape
Tim Holtz Distress/Oxide Ink

Both cards are fabulous Vicki, I have the paper you used for the first one, now why didn't I think to use it, but you HAVE inspired me to get it out, love the gold on the first one and the bright pretty yellows on the second, glad you got to use your stash!!

Both cards are so appealing. The first one should get the president's seal of approval. But the second one is so cute and dazzling.
