It's time for the Double D's first challenge in January and we are celebrating the blog's 6th birthday. The theme is "Party Balloons". Yes, just party balloons, please. No hot air balloons for this project.

Here's a mood board for inspiration...
I took inspiration from the photos on the top and bottom right...
Celebrate
I used a piece of fun watercolor paper and a favorite die cut as the background for the balloons. The star covered balloons on the mood board reminded me of a scrap of multi color, foil paper I had, so I used it to cut out six of them in various sizes. I attached fine gold thread as the balloon strings, tied them together and gave them dimension with foam dots. The sentiment is cut 3 times for added dimension also.

Your balloons are gorgeous, the prettiest I have seen! I like how they look like they a floating in a brilliant blue sky too! That swirly die cut thingamajig looks fabulous lol Just perfect!
