Fall is for Apples!

Welcome crafty friends for another Double D Challenge.

Tomorrow is the first day of fall here in the northern hemisphere and it's my favorite time of year.  The summer has been brutally hot and I'm ready for cooler temperatures.

There's a new challenge theme at the Double D Challenge Blog..."Things That FALL".  You'll find great inspiration on the mood board and have the chance to be a Creative or Prize Winner.

Here's the mood board...

And the prize up for grabs by random draw...

CB Stencil Art Leaves

It's peak apple picking time in our area, and I took inspiration from the falling apples.

hugs

Lots of layers and dimension on this six inch square card.  All of the patterned papers are double matted with coordinating cardstock.  The layers have added dimension using foam tape.  I embellished the sentiment with apple ephemera to complete this quick and easy card.

From my stash...
Bazzill, CTMH Cardstock
Die Versions Hugs Curly Word
Mintay Apple Season Collection

Gosh! Your papers are always the very BEST! (do you ever get tired of hearing/reading that?!? lol) Simply and perfectly beautiful! Love your sweet apples and the Hugs die cut. This would make for a great get well card--an apple a day and all! Perfect!

It's apple time here in Michigan too and I seem to have three bags full in my fridge, guess I had better make some applesauce and pies..yum!!

You must have oodles of design paper and you always amaze me with the perfect design and matching papers. I love the layers on your card and the antique picture that is so grand.

LoveloveLOVE this! I have to wonder why I don't have this Mintay paper collection. It's fabulous! I made applesauce this week with apples from my friend's tree. I love this season, too! Your card is so wonderfully awesome, Vicki!

Oh my GOSH! I love, love, LOVE this card. I think the thing I love the most, other than your fabulous design, is the use of red and light blue. Those two colors together just make everything pop. This is just STUNNING!
