October's Outrageous Orange

 Hey crafty friends...

I'm sharing a couple of cards created with a die cut stencil.  I've used both the die cut and the stenciled image on the cards below.

Birthday Wishes

The first A2 card uses the die cut image inked with various distress inks.  The flower was made from the same patterned paper used as matting for the background paper.  The sentiment is cut from gold metallic cardstock.  I embellished with a few dew drops.

Happy Birthday

The second A2 card has the inked stencil design with coordinating patterned paper for matting and the die cut sentiment.  It's embellished with enamel dots.

Creating your own stencils is easy using heavy cardstock and die cuts.  It's a fun way to use those metal dies for more than the die cut image.

Cool, I'll have to remember to use some of my dies as a stencil too, love both your cards. And like how you used the patterned paper for the die cut, I've done that in the past and it is really a nice affect. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble and Jan's Digis Blog Challenge.
