Christmas Stocking Fun

 Hi there crafty friends!

Today I'm sharing a fun card for the new challenge on the Double D Challenge Blog.  Our theme is "Christmas Stockings".  Share your project by linking up to the Double D Christmas Stocking post and you could be one of our Creative Winners or the prize winner chosen by random draw.

Here's some colorful inspiration...

and for the random prize winner...

HOTP Stocking Stamp/Die Set

I was inspired by the top right, colorful photo!

Merry Christmas

I'm using up papers in my stash and making room for more!  This cute elf hat paper is from a fun collection I bought last Christmas.  I die cut, embossed and inked the focal circle to appear like a fireplace where the stocking hangs.  The cuff of the stocking is heat embossed with a snow marker to make it look like fur.   I adhered foam tape to the back of the stocking to pop it up and leave room to add a couple of mini candy canes.  The sentiment is stamped, die cut and tucked into the stocking also.

From my stash...
 Bazzill Cardstock
Craft Consortium Made by Elves
Marvy Uchida Snow Marker
Paper Smooches Sentiment
Spellbinders Banner Die
Tim Holtz Brick Embossing Folder
Tim Holtz Distress Inks
Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Circle
Other - Mini candy canes

Such a cute and plump stocking I want it hanging on my fire place to be filled with crafting goodies from Santa!! Clever idea to have the circle resemble a fireplace too! Room for more paper? Yep, I certainly need to do that too lol!!

I really like the single stocking on your card and all of the hats in the background. Good choice of paper and now you can buy more.

That's the cutest stocking with the scalloped puffy trim. Love the pink brick and that absolutely darling paper. I would love to see your paper collection. I need more room, too, 'cause I just can't stop buying more paper!

Your card is fun and absolutely adorable Vicki! We're all in the same boat, trying to use up old papers. That elf hat paper is so super cute. Brilliant idea using the brick circle in the background to resemble the fireplace. This is perfectly charming!
