Beautiful...

 Hey there bloggers!

Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day!

Today, I'm sharing a couple of cards.  One is for the new challenge at the Double D Challenge Blog and the other is a CAS Valentine I mailed this past week.  The challenge theme for the next two weeks at the Double D is "BIRDS".  The mood board offers lots of inspiration, both colors and images.  The details can be found HERE.  Stop by, play along and you could be a creative or prize winner.

Here's my inspiration using the flamingo photo...

beautiful {just the way you are}

This card was so fun to put together.  I love the bright pink flamingos in this paper collection.  It's been in my stash for a while and I was happy to have the opportunity to use it.  I stamped, die cut the sentiment and gave it extra dimension by matting and adding foam tape.  I have a tropical leaf die cut that matched the leaves in the paper, so I cut a couple and tucked them in around the sentiment.  A few dew drops completed the embellishing.

Next up is a clean and simple Valentine...

This CAS Valentine came together easy peasy.  I die cut a heart along the edge of the patterned paper and adhered a scrap of the base color, then matted it with black.  The gold mini hearts are cut from a bubblegum machine die set.

Two sweet cards today, what a treat! I just love the colors on your tropical flamingo card. What a great design and a great way to use those patterned papers. Your second card is super cute too and again, a great way to use up some patterned paper. I have so much in my stash I think I'll never use it in my lifetime. Two great takes on today's challenge!
