Love, Hugs and Kisses

 Welcome crafty friends!

Hurray, we made it through January and are a week into February already.  Only 41 days until Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and I can't wait!

There's a new challenge to play with at the Double D Blog along with some sweet inspiration.  The challenge theme is "Heartfelt".  Hmmm, made me think of my blog title.  Anyway, there will be Creative Winners along with a random prize winner selected from the entries.  Stop by and play along and you could be a winner!

Poppy Stamps Love Heart

I was inspired by a combination of colors on the mood board.

Love, Hugs and Kisses

I worked out the placement of the X's and hearts ahead of time and it was perfect on a 6" x 6" card base.  I used red as the main focal color to pull out the red lettering on the patterned paper and, it's a Valentine which are typically mostly red!  I matted with the teal and orange also in the background paper.  The focal heart has added dimension using foam tape.

Do you remember the Valentines parties that you had in elementary school? Where do you get a bunch of heart candies all with sayings and you read each one before eating them? This card just gave me a very warm and fuzzy feeling like that.

Stunning creation, as always. You certainly do have a way with that patterned paper. And those die cuts are perfect. Really sweet card!
