Seeing Red!

 Good morning crafty friends!

Hard to believe it's time for another Double D Challenge and February is more than half over.  Hurray to both!  We're headed into spring soon and I can't wait.

The challenge theme for the next two weeks is, "Red".

Sharing a mood board to inspire and a prize being offered to a lucky winner.

I'm seeing red...

"Let's go for a ride"

Guess which photo inspired me....LOL!  Not too hard to tell.  I've had this paper in my stash for quite a while.  Nine years to be exact and I actually got it from Maja's booth when I met her at CHA.  It's one of those pieces of patterned paper that you love and never want to use.  However, it was time when I saw the challenge mood board.  Thankfully, there's still three quarters of the piece remaining to use on other projects. The bicycle embellishment is from another collection and I changed the flower colors using copic markers.  A couple of enamel hearts and a bit of foliage that I also changed the flower color on to match the others.  The sentiment is the branding strip from the patterned paper.

From my stash...
Copic Markers
CTMH Enamel Hearts
Maya Designs Summertime, Let's Go For A Ride
Mintay Lavender Bicycle Element
My Colors Cardstock
Spellbinders Small Pinking Circle
 Spellbinders Small Standard Circle

 Shared with these challenges:

3 embellishments, 2 layers, 1 sentiment

Thanks for stopping by...
Create something pretty today!

I just LOVE what you always do with that fabulous patterned paper. The bicycles are so stinkin' awesome, and such a clever take on the challenge. I think you might adore patterned paper almost as much as I do!!!!

That bicycle die and paper couldn't be more perfect together. This is darling, Vicki! You're so clever to think of coloring the flowers to match. I can see why you were hording this paper, but I'm so glad you used it today.

First of all, I am impressed that you remember how long ago and where you bought this design paper. That being said, I think you are right that is time to use it. You did a great job on this challenge with the paper and focal image as well. A great take on this challenge.

Love that pretty Designer Paper with all of the red bikes--I remember having a red trike when I was little and I raced (in a loop) around the house--must have driven the parents crazy lol I adore the bike ephemera as a focal point too! This is a beauty!

Such a pretty and beautifully balanced card Vicki! I can see why you held onto that piece (so hard actually using the pieces of paper we fall in love with isn’t it) though it was well sacrificed in this case! Hugs,Kate!
