Live in the moment...

 Welcome back crafty friends!

Today's share is another project for the Double D Challenge Blog.

With summer time officially two days away, "Let's Go To The Beach" is a great topic for the second challenge in June.  As always, there's a great mood board for inspiration and a prize for one lucky, randomly drawn winner.

Nellie's Choice Clear Stamp Silhouet

When I think of the beach, I hear the sound of lapping waves and feel the warmth of basking in the sun.  I love walking along the water's edge at sunset looking for shells and sea glass.

A great time to "live in the moment".

This card is stacked with a total of five layers counting the base.  The matting includes all of the colors on the top layer...kraft, black, pale rose and turquoise.  The embossed seashell design is misted and inked with pale pinks and teals.  The black sentiment does just what I had hoped by catching the eye at first glance.  A few turquoise pearls for minimal embellishment.  No better place to "live in the moment" than at the beach!

From my stash...
Bazzill Cardstock - Jetstream, Pale Rose
Craft Concepts Thoughtful Collection, Peace EF
My Colors Cardstock - Kraft, New Black
Queen & Co. Pearls
Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Gathered Twigs, Mermaid Lagoon, Spun Sugar
Tim Holtz Oxide Ink - Frayed Burlap
Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz Sparkle

Have the best day!

This is so pretty Vicki, and layered to perfection. What I wouldn't give to be sitting in the sunshine on the beach right now. Such a great take on the challenge.

I think that's the most lovely embossing folder and a wonderful sentiment, Vicki! Your fabulous layering gives it all the dimension it needs and the colors pull it together front to back!

Lots of beautiful layering on your beautiful card, and yes walking the beach looking for beach glass is a favorite past time here, I have a jar full!

You took an amazing sentiment and added the best embossing folder and simply made a wonderful card. It has soft dimension and lots of good feels. Ahhh! Walking on the beach feels.

And the Moment is NOW! I can feel the salty sea and gritty sands on my legs! Love the embossed shell border and your layer upon layer--bet this card has some heft! What a glorious way to spend the day! Love it!
