Bee YOU

 Welcome back crafty friends!

The Double D Challenge Blog is sharing their first challenge for the month of August.  The theme is "BEE HAPPY"!  Use bees and/or the word HAPPY on your project.  Team Diane is hosting and sharing lots of great inspiration along with members of Team Darlene.  Do stop by and play along and may"bee" you'll be a prize winner!

Here's a fun mood board....

And a prize that's up for grabs to one lucky winner!
Sizzix Bee Hive - Bee Die Set

Here's my un-beelievably cute inspiration...

"Bee" YOU

How fun is this collection?  The bee patterned paper made a cute background for the die cut honeycomb shape.  The panel was cut two more times in black and offset as matting for the honeycomb layer. The 3-D Doodle Pop "bee"came (tee hee!) part of the sentiment which was stamped and die cut. I finished embellishing with a few coordinating flowers.

This is just as cute as can "bee"! What a great idea to cut two of the center pieces out of black to make a frame and enhance the focal panel like that. I'll have to try to remember that little trick. This is darling!

My eye went first to that big beautiful bee in the center of your card. But when I realized that your background paper duplicated that be I was very happy. I know you have a lot of papers and you always pick the perfect one for your card. I really enjoyed it.

I'm looking at all those smiling bee faces and I'm smiling right back! How can I not? Your card is so adorable, Vicki! The paper is darling, and the big happy bee up front ... if I could hug a bee, that's the one I'd hug!
