Welcome to October friends!
Oooo, it's October, my favorite month of the year. I love the sunny, crisp days and the smell of Autumn in the air. After a hot, humid summer, this month is most welcome!
It's time for the first challenge of the month at the Double D Blog and it's a fun one.
Trick or Treat
Smell My Feet
Give Me Something Good to Eat
Use the words to inspire your project. Anything that smells, be it good or bad food or even feet. Let your imagination run wild!
Some inspiration for you...
When I was growing up and it was "safe" to accept homemade items as treats, I loved stopping at our neighbors house. She always made candy apples to hand out. Quite an undertaking, but she enjoyed passing them out and it was enjoyable to receive one! Lots of good memories from trick or treat days gone by and so....
Here's my "something good to eat"!
There's nothing better than a candy apple from the local fall festivals. This is just a fun card with fun colors and fun food. Fun, fun, fun! The lime green gingham paper coordinates with the green of the apple showing under that red, sweet candy shell. The pop of bright blue was a great accent color while matching the bow on the apple stick. The sentiment is stamped directly on the patterned paper with red ink. Red jewels on the four corners emulate the candy shell on the apple and are the finishing touch.
From my stash...
Jolee's 3-D Candy Apple Sticker
Papertrey Ink Sentiment Stamp
Queen & Co. Red Jewels
Spellbinder Oval & Scalloped Oval Dies
Stampin' Up Ruby Red Ink
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Hope to see you again soon!
