Hi Crafty friends!
There's a new challenge up at A Cut Above Challenge Blog. The theme is always "Anything Goes With A Die Cut" according to the required guidelines. April also has an optional twist of pastel colors in addition to using die cuts on the project.
I created this card using the twist of pastels...
There are lots of layers and dimension on this card design. The background patterned paper is matted twice and adhered to a white card base. I used a doily die cut as the focal point and embellished it with a foliage die cut and coordinating ephemera. The sentiment is stamped and die cut with matting in two colors. I adhered tiny pearls on the doily and flower centers.
From my stash...

Kaisercraft Chino Pearls

So, so pretty. I love that patterned paper background, and those layered die cuts showcase the focal perfectly. Gorgeous soft colors.
