Welcome back crafty friends!
Where did June go already? The month went by way too fast and we're into summer now. It's time for the first challenge in July at the Double D Challenge Blog. The theme is "Potpourri", a mix of things. It can be colors, shapes, designs, whatever project you're inspired to create.
The mood board shares some fun inspiration...
I was inspired by the first photo and went with a Boho Potpourri theme.
I'm a fan of macrame from way back in my Boho days. The first photo brought back memories of all the projects I completed through the years. The macrame in the photo also reminds me of a dream catcher and crib mobile, two of the items I made many of as gifts for family and friends.
So, on that note, I pulled out a favorite macrame die I should use more often and some colors that are favorites for this Boho design.
The background shiplap paper is turned vertically and framed with a zig zag slimline die cut in two different sizes. I inked up white cardstock and die cut the macrame wall hanger from it. The sparkly enamel dot colors were a perfect match to the hanger. I die cut the sentiment using both colors in the hanger and layered them for dimension.
From my stash...
Bazzill Coral Cream, Soft Mint
Bo Bunny Willow Sage Candy Dots
CTMH Mix In Shiplap DP
Elizabeth Designs Macrame Die
Memory Box Branch Die
Tim Holtz Abandoned Coral, Cracked Pistachio
