Today, I'm happy to share that I am a guest designer for "Colorful Options" Challenge Blog in September. My red, white and blue stenciled card was chosen as "Best of Show" for the month of July which presented me with the opportunity to guest design this month.

September's challenge is all about the color, BROWN. With the summer ending and fall just around the corner, this is the perfect time of year for this earth tone color inspiration.
Here's a mood board to help inspire your project. Check it out and grab a few of the details, along with the shades of brown, that get your mojo going.
I used different shades of brown and added a pop of rusty orange to my card. The sheet music, round shapes and stack of vintage books were inspiration for me also.
I'm all about layers when creating my cards. Typically, they are also square because the design makes me feel like I'm working on a small canvas. Lots of die cuts make up the fall collage scene I created on the card front. I distressed and inked the edges of the cut apart cards and tucked them in behind the pumpkin. Lastly, I added glass bead gel to the vine leaves for texture.The sentiment is cut three times and glued together for added dimension.
